The basic performance of clay refractory bricks
Clay refractory brick is now one of the main materials that must be used in the construction of houses, do you know its basic performance, the following is a detailed introduction.
Clay refractory brick is a kind of refractory products with clay clinker as aggregate, refractory clay as binding agent, Al2O3 content of 3048%. Clay brick is a refractory material with a long history and wide range of uses.
Clay bricks are composed of clay minerals. Refractory clays are generally categorized into hard and soft clays. In the refractory manufacturing process, most of the former is used as clinker after calcination; the latter is plastic and easy to sinter after adding water, and is often used as a binder.
General clay refractory brick content is greater than 40%, Fe2O3 content is less than 2.0 ~ 2.5%. Middle clinker 65-85%, bonded clay 35-15%. The crushed bonded clay is mixed with finely ground clinker and ground fine, then mixed with granular clinker to make semi-dry clay, molded under high pressure and fired at about 1400,with good performance. Clay bricks are weakly acidic at high temperatures and slightly less resistant to alkaline slag erosion, but increase with increasing Al2O3 content. Thermal stability is better than that of silica and magnesium bricks (see Magnesium Bricks).
Because of the low softening temperature of clay bricks under load and high temperature shrinkage, clay refractory bricks can only be used in the secondary parts of the kiln Clay bricks have a standard size of 230*114*65mm, and can also be customized according to the construction drawings of shaped bricks.
Clay refractory bricks are much better than general refractory bricks in some basic performance, because its raw material is clay, not general earth.
