Brief introduction:
Lightweight clay insulation brick is a kind of high-temperature heat insulation refractory material, which is made of refractory clay clinker as raw material, plastic clay as binding agent, adding appropriate amount of combustible material or foaming agent, molded by brick press, and then sintered. Lightweight clay insulation bricks are generally used in the heat insulation layer of various high temperature kilns as thermal insulation materials.
Common densities of lightweight clay insulation bricks (g/cm³): 0.8, 1.0, 1.3.
Characteristics:
Heat-insulating refractories are characterized by high porosity, generally 40%-85%; low bulk density below 1.5g/cm³; low thermal conductivity, generally below 1.0W (m.K). It acts as a heat-insulating material for industrial kilns, reduces heat loss from the kiln, saves energy, and reduces the quality of thermal equipment. Heat-insulating refractories mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and resistance to slag erosion is poor, should not be used in the load-bearing structure of the kiln and direct contact with slag, charge, molten metal and other parts.
Application:
Clay insulation bricks are widely used, mainly used in a variety of industrial furnaces without contact with molten material and no erosion of the role of gas insulation layer materials, the use of temperature 1200-1400 ℃. Mainly used in heat boilers, glass kilns, cement kilns, fertilizer gas furnace, blast furnace, hot air furnace, coking furnace, electric furnace, casting and pouring steel with bricks. Clay insulation bricks can also be used as hot surface refractories or other refractory materials to support the thermal insulation layer, used in melting furnaces, ignition kilns, flues, refining devices, heating devices, regeneration devices, gas furnaces and pipelines, even heat furnaces, annealing furnaces, reaction chambers and other industrial heat equipment.
